Tent City Cambridge MA

Cambridge campers live in a new Tent City surrounded by Harvard University. It is just steps from Harvard's Littauer Center of Public Administration where students learn to be public administrators? This high profile tent city is also steps from Harvard Law School's Gannett House, occupied by the Harvard Law Review. When President Obama was a student at Harvard Law School his colleagues elected him President of the Law Review. High profile public administrators, high profile lawyers and a tent city nearby. Harvard suffered a big loss to their endowment in 2009, losing about $11 billion. Harvard remains the richest university in the United States. Residents at Cambridge Tent City were not available for comment on Harvard's lost billions.

Barney Frank Insults Persons with Disabilities

In this 8 minute clip from MSNBC US Rep. Barney Frank (D-MA) expresses his hate speech toward persons with disabilities. He says, (at 5:20) "if anybody needs a health care plan in America it's those people who are in severe need of mental health services. This lunacy about [death panels] . . . " Here Rep. Frank who called US Supreme Court Justice Scalia a "homophobe" indicates his belief that persons accused of mental illness should be ignored because what they say is nonsense because of their alleged disability. This is what permits institutional abuses of persons with disabilities. Caregivers, police, politicians and lawyers ignore their complaints about abuse because? Because they think they are mentally ill. Later (at 7:00) he says, "arguments against the Obama plan are being dominated by the crazies." One more example of Franks's bigotry toward persons with disabilities. Barney Frank's doctrine: If they are crazy they should be ignored.

Bush and Obama and the Marines

http://therealrevo.com Update, 3/12/09

This video has received a lot of attention. As of right now, it is showing well over a half a million hits since it was posted on March 1. It is also controversial. Many Obama supporters have claimed to debunk the video by pointing out that the events were not comparable. They argue that the event in Anbar province that President Bush attended in September 2007 was informal. The Camp Lejune event that President Obama attended, on the other hand, was more formal. They point out that it is not fair to compare two events in which the Marines are subject to different rules of behavior.

In fairness, they are correct. The events were different in many ways and the Marines present were subject to different behavioral expectations. There is, however, more to this video than that. If the content of this video were that easily debunked it would not still be drawing tens of thousands of hits per day. The different degrees of formality aside, this video is quite revealing.

In the video, the Marines exhibit obvious love and respect for President Bush. His visit was not an event that followed closely on the heels of 9/11. This video was taken after the worst days of the war and after the surge created major progress in the region. The president is visiting the troops in Anbar Province, the home of the infamous Falluja and Ar Ramadi killing grounds. This visit took place after the province had been pacified. In other words, the Marines showed their love of Mr. Bush even after the darkest days of the war.

The Lejune video, on the other hand, shows Obama entering with all the pomp and circumstance of a royal visit to the peasants. Hail to the Chief plays in the background; something that President Bush didnt allow during his military visits. Obama knows that keeping the Marines locked at the position of attention means that no comparison can ever be made to the loving reception President Bush regularly received from the troops. Obama knows how the Marines feel and will always treat them exactly like the rabble he sees.

This is the real truth of the video and why it is so popular. It warms the heart of Bush supporters to see President Bush receive the love, gratitude and respect of these warriors. It angers Obama supporters because they also see the love President Bush receives and they know their man will never see anything similar from the troops. They know that these warriors loved the last president and will never give similar respect to this one.

A good YouTube video stirs the emotions and this one does that. It elicits different emotions in different people but the underlying truth that is the catalyst for the emotional response is the same for everyone. The Marines loved President Bush in a way they will never love President Obama.

Capitol Protest

CNN anchor talks and talks but finally relinquished the air to the on site reporter at a demonstration at the US Capitol. The crowd chants "Tell the truth." When asked what they think of US Rep. Cambridge Cafe Blocks Sidewalk, Bike Lane

These images captured on Tuesday September 8, 2009 at about 5:00 PM shows a delightful European style Cambridge MA cafe taking up most of the sidewalk near Porter Square on Mass Avenue. Pedestrians are limited to one person at a time to pass by this enormous structure on the sidewalk. Two images show foliage hanging into the street blocking part of the bicycle lane forcing cyclists to ride nearer to traffic at this very dangerous intersection. On my way home a young man approached me asking "Did you get your picture?" Later that night a suspected employee of this cafe was at my building residence harassing me because of "business reasons." Are Cambridge restaurants out of control or what? This was a clear violation of the MA Civil Rights statute MGL Ch. 265 Sec. 37, and if he was as suspected working also for the police a First Amendment violation. To discourage more revealing photos a suspected associate of the man made threats saying "You will be hit." Are these members of organized crime making threats or police acting like criminals? But in Cambridge and Massachusetts where laws are optional what does that matter? Cambridge won an award for the most walkable city.

Roy Bercaw Speaks to City Council February 12 2007

Speaking as the Chief Ethical Advisor and Ultimate Moral Authority for the Mid Cambridge Chapter of the American Council on Mendacity, Roy Bercaw presents an award to the City as the Most Mendacious City. He comments on the City Manager taking land on Gore Street by eminent domain without and notice to taxpayers. Bercaw asks about Be Curious Day in the city schools. He suggests the only way to rid the city of rodents is by banning people and food. Limiting the city to Biotech Companies and alcohol would work. He reports that the District Attorney issued an opinion that the Green Room where the City Councilors (but no poor citizens) dine on taxpayer dimes, is not part of the Council Chambers for voting. Regarding bicycle racks in Central Square Bercaw suggests removing sidewalks to make room for more racks. He asks why the City Manager asks for over time appropriations for the Water Department for medical expenses. How can he know the future? Bercaw asks what benefits the viewers get for the $850,000 that CCTV gets from the City each year plus private donations.

ObamaCare Basics

Let me get this straight . . .

We're going to pass a Health Care Plan written by a committee whose head says he doesn't understand it, passed by a Congress that hasn't read it but exempts themselves from it, signed by a president that also hasn't read it, and who smokes, with funding administered by a treasury chief who didn't pay his taxes, overseen by a surgeon general who is obese, and financed by a country that's nearly broke.

What possibly could go wrong?

This is a regular occurrence. City officials participate in these glorified charades and try to silence any criticism of the abuses of the process.
