At two different meetings of the Cambridge (MA) City Council, Councilor Marjorie Decker explained how she is allergic to dogs (October 30, 2006) but spends a lot of time around them (April 9, 2007). She was allergic when a person with a disability had a service dog 100 feet away. But when 50 dog owners spoke at the Council meeting she had a different tale to tell. The Mayor showed his hypocrisy at the same meetings in how he acted toward the service dog by calling the police, then fawning over the many dog owners.
