Will Cambridge Ban Pedestrians?

Cambridge Massachusetts like all large cities is always thinking of ways to increase parking for its citizens. Automobiles rule, even in politically correct Cambridge which was designated a walking friendly city. Citizens like the quaint brick sidewalks that are not high heel friendly. Academic liberals often ask, "How will I do my shopping without a car?" Ahem! For several years I proposed to New York City when Rudolph Giuliani was Mayor and to Cambridge politicians too, that the solution is to ban pedestrians. Pedestrian vehicle accidents will be eliminated by requiring all persons to be in a vehicle when they are not in a building. The sidewalks can be removed for more parking and the speed limit can be increased. Voila! In this video we can see what may be the beginning of the removal of sidewalks in one neighborhood. This may be a joint trial with Harvard University to see citizens' reaction. The city placed double-wide trailers on the sidewalks. Is that the solution to affordable housing?
