Grinch of All Grinches, Harvard Bricks It Up

Update: Wednesday December 26, 2012. Another memo arrived announcing that on Friday, December 28, 2012 the President and Fellows of Harvard College will paint the bricked up fireplaces black. Leave it to President of Harvard College to provide an aesthetic environment for tenants in their residential properties.

Harvard University was founded on a cow path in Cambridge, Massachusetts as a training school for ministers. Today it is an internationally prominent not for profit (Ahem!) corporation with an endowment of $32 billion give or take a few billion.

Harvard's most famous schools today are Harvard College, Harvard Law School and the Graduate School of Business. All of them generate a lot of income for the not for profit university.

It is ironic that the President and Fellows of Harvard College who set policy for the schools worked vigorously to separate not only church and state but also church and university. Their shuttle buses which run between campus buildings have lighted signs which read in the weeks leading up to the Christmas and New Year holidays "Season's Greetings," and "Happy Holidays." No mention of Christmas or New Year's. That indicates the focus of Harvard is no longer religious. It is ironic knowing the reason Harvard was founded.

On December 14, 2012 and for the next week just before Christmas The President and Fellows of Harvard College directed a contractor to close up the only access that Santa Claus has to the apartments of mostly students, faculty and staff of the University.

Clearly all of these people are being designated by the President of Harvard University to have been naughty. So extremely naughty, not just for this year but for ever more. They bricked up the fireplaces in the buildings, up to 80 apartments in two buildings alone, at 85 and 95 Prescott Street.

It makes you wonder. If they are all so naughty, why do they succeed in the United States in politics, and business? Are they as naughty after the leave Harvard?

Merry Christmas. Happy New Year.
