The lesson here according to his "friends," is that if events don't go the way you want them to go, get a gun and shoot at random people. The usual lesson is if some one wants to end a relationship get a gun and shoot her. As one astute observer noted, "Why don't they just shoot themselves if they are so unhappy, and save the rest of us from their grief? We have enough of our own."

Standing poised with their guns trained on his body, this is the moment a gunman's rampage through a Hollywood street came to an end. The man was killed and three others injured, one critically, during the mid-morning incident at the famed Hollywood intersection of Sunset Boulevard and Vine Street. The 26-year-old Hispanic dressed in a white sweat vest, stood in the middle of the road firing on pedestrians and forcing motorists to veer out of the way.
