Justice Department And Journalist Attack Critical Reporter

[From article]
In email exchanges obtained by The Daily Caller in two separate FOIA requests, a coordinated effort to slam Breitbart News reporter Matthew Boyle emerged.
[. . .]
Years later in February, 2013, Boyle wrote a story for Breitbart News about Schmaler’s “colluding” with “far left wing” Media Matters to attack him, lawmakers and other members of the media. Funny enough, Boyle attempted to seek comment from Schmaler on why she resigned. He wrote, “Schmaler has not answered when asked by Breitbart News whether her resignation has anything to do with the coming hearings on DOJ collusion with groups like Media Matters.”
Weirdly, it takes two years (or longer) for DOJ to respond to FOIA requests.

Misguided Calls For Federal Investigation of Shooting in Missouri

Sharpton is an FBI informant. With Eric "White people are cowards" Holder running the Justice Department it is unlikely an objective investigation can be completed. See two books revealing extreme racial bias against whites in Civil Rights Division.  J. Christian Adams, Injustice; and John Fund and Hans van Spakovsky's Who's Counting?

[From article]
Sharpton called for the federal government to take over the investigation of the case, criticizing the local police department for not releasing the name of the officer involved in the shooting.
“We did not come to divide this city; we came to bring this city on one accord,” Sharpton said. “But one accord means that we have equal protection under the law.”
Sharpton criticized those who wanted to silence him and the rest of the community.
“There are those who are saying ‘peace,’ but they really just mean ‘quiet’… we want real peace; we don’t want to just be told to shut up and suffer in silence,” he said.

Justice Dept. Wrong Agency For Objective Investigation of Race

If any government agency is incapable of doing an objective investigation of a racially charged event, it is the Department of Justice. Its current leader famously declared that "white people are cowards." The current Secretary of Labor, when he was chief of the Civil Rights Division openly refused to prosecute violations in a race neutral manner, contrary to law. See, e.g., J. Christian Adams, Injustice; and John Fund and Hans van Spakovsky's Who's Counting?

Both the police department and eyewitnesses agree that the officer pulled up alongside Brown as he walked on the sidewalk, but there are conflicting accounts about what happened next, according to The St. Louis Dispatch.
St. Louis County Police Chief Jon Belmar said Brown “physically assaulted” the officer, pushing him back into his car and trying to take his weapon.
“There was at least one shot fired within the car. After that the officer went back, came back out of the car, he exited his vehicle, and there was a shooting that occurred where the officer in fact shot the subject, and … they were fatal injuries,” Belmar said.
Dorian Johnson, who claims to have been walking with Brown at the time of the shooting, said the officer had demanded that they get off the sidewalk. When they continued walking, he claimed the officer drove up, grabbed Brown by the neck and then shot him.
[. . .]
The lawmakers praised Holder’s move, but said DOJ should consider taking over the investigation. They said the St. Louis County Police Department “may not be the most objective or credible body to investigate civil rights matters involving law enforcement given evidence of racial profiling by that department in the recent past.”
“Only the federal government has the resources, the experience, and the full independence to give this case the close scrutiny that the citizens of Ferguson and the greater St. Louis area deserve,” the lawmakers wrote.

Extensive Corruption at Eric "White People Are Cowards" Holder's Department of Justice

[From article]
Despite its agreement to settle a lawsuit filed by the National Organization for Marriage against the IRS for the illegal disclosure of confidential tax information, it has not prosecuted any of the individuals or organizations who illegally disclosed and published that information.
The IRS, which was represented by Justice Department lawyers in the civil case, agreed to pay NOM $50,000 at the end of June over the agency’s illegal disclosure of confidential tax return information. 501(c)(4) organizations like NOM are required to file an IRS tax form, Schedule B, listing all of their donors who have contributed more than $5,000. But under federal law, that information is not available to the public since forced disclosure would obviously violate the First Amendment rights of the organization.
In March of 2012, NOM discovered that its Schedule B with all of its confidential information had been posted on the website of the Human Rights Campaign and the Huffington Post, disclosing the names and addresses of major donors. NOM is a conservative organization trying to preserve traditional marriage and the Human Rights Campaign is a very liberal, pro-gay rights organization that is a big ally of the Obama administration and devoted political enemy of NOM. In fact, HRC’s president at the time was Joe Solmonese, the co-chair of President Barack Obama’s re-election campaign. This list generated stories such as in the Huffington Post critical of Mitt Romney because a political action committee linked to Romney had contributed to NOM.
[. . .]
There is no question that the IRS violated federal law when it disclosed NOM’s confidential donor information. That is why DOJ agreed to settle the case and pay NOM a large sum of money. But under the applicable law, 26 U.S.C. §7213, everyone involved in the disclosure – and the publication – also may have criminally violated the law, from the IRS employee to Matthew Meisel to the HRC and the Huffington Post. That is because it is a felony punishable by up to five years in jail to not only willfully disclose confidential tax returns, but “to print or publish in any manner” such returns.
[. . .]
Holder put an Obama campaign donor who works in the Civil Rights Division in charge of the investigation – a lawyer with no experience in this type of investigation at all.
As we outline in our new book, Obama’s Enforcer: Eric Holder’s Justice Department, the attorney general has politicized the Justice Department to an unprecedented degree never seen before. This is just another example of it. Holder is an ideologue and a politician first, someone who considers himself part of the president’s political team, and the attorney general of the United States a very distant third. Race and politics infuse all of his decisions and the decisions made by his subordinates and appointees throughout the department.

Holder Protects Terrorists' Lawyers, Ignores Abuses of Disabled Americans

Obama's Attorney General refuses to identify attorneys employed at the Justice Department who represented enemy combatants detained at Guantanamo prison. His hypocrisy is at a high level on this issue. Why did he and previous Attorneys General refuse to address severe abuses of persons accused of mental illness in this country but protect lawyers who advocate for enemy combatants? Persons with disabilities have not committed any crime. They are allegedly ill and abused by lawyers, courts, police, human services corporations and just about all humans in the country. But enemy combatants get attorneys to protect their rights to kill Americans while persons with disabilities are openly abused while journalists remain silent. What's up with that Mr. Holder? You protect the reputations of lawyers who protect the rights of enemy combatants but ignore serious institutionalized abuses of victims with disabilities? What are your priorities?
