At about 9:00 PM Sunday September 21, 2008 the Cambridge Fire Department rescued an elderly woman from a burning building. She lived on the top floor of 371 Harvard Street at the corner of Trowbridge Street in Cambridge, MA. A Cambridge police sergeant reported that she suffered burns on about 25 percent of her body mostly on her arms. She was taken to Mass General Hospital for treatment. No firemen were injured. Cambridge police kept Trowbridge Street between Mass Avenue and Harvard Street closed as late as 12:45 AM Monday. Earlier Harvard Street from Remington Street to Ellery Street was closed. All tenants were displaced for the night. One official reported the tenants would be let into their apartments get some belongings at about midnight.
