New Cambridge Library

The front lawn of the $62 million new library is now open for viewing. New asphalt paths for walking are open but not the grass. Joan Lorenz park is also open again with new paths, but not the grass. The new tot lot is open and functioning. You can see real people and their children enjoying the new space. Librarians are working hard to get the new library open in time for New Year's?

Waited a long time for the new library, but I'm disappointed. Camb. is the only city in the world with a water works that looks like a library, and the only library that looks like a water works. The worst part is I can't spend any time there. In spite of all the "green" construction, the out-gassing is so bad it's toxic. Yuck!
