At about 6:00 PM on October 11, 2010 in rear of 85-95 Prescott Street, a large rodent jumped from the box in this video and ran under the cardboard.

Roy Bercaw Speaks to City Council February 12 2007

Speaking as the Chief Ethical Advisor and Ultimate Moral Authority for the Mid Cambridge Chapter of the American Council on Mendacity, Roy Bercaw presents an award to the City as the Most Mendacious City. He comments on the City Manager taking land on Gore Street by eminent domain without and notice to taxpayers. Bercaw asks about Be Curious Day in the city schools.He suggests the only way to rid the city of rodents is by banning people and food. Limiting the city to Biotech Companies and alcohol would work. He reports that the District Attorney issued an opinion that the Green Room where the City Councilors (but no poor citizens) dine on taxpayer dimes, is not part of the Council Chambers for voting. Regarding bicycle racks in Central Square Bercaw suggests removing sidewalks to make room for more racks. He asks why the City Manager asks for over time appropriations for the Water Department for medical expenses. How can he know the future? Bercaw asks what benefits the viewers get for the $850,000 that CCTV gets from the City each year plus private donations.

Common Sense is Absent

After a visit from the City's Rodent Control program and a posted memo from Harvard Real Estate tenants at 85-95 Prescott Street are unable to open the door to the dumpster in the rear of the buildings to secure their trash. Perhaps they cannot find the door. Tenants of these buildings are exclusively Harvard affiliates with a very few remaining rent control tenants.
On Wednesday August 5, 2009 at about 9:30 PM there was one bag of trash outside of the dumpster -- a gift to the wildlife of the city. At about 11:30 PM there were three as in this image. About one year ago Harvard assigned new management to 85-95 Prescott Street. They removed the bulletin boards which tenants used to communicate with each other and Harvard used for notices. They replaced it with a glass covered board with a lock and a notice. If you want to post a notice tenants may request permission. An email address is provided. Harvard, joins the White House and the ACLU censoring speech. Then they posted a notice that tenants must remove their names from their mail boxes. The postal service will not deliver mail unless there is a name on the box. The carrier explained that to the new management which did not rescind their memo.
Many people including the City government spent a lot of time trying to reduce the rodent population. There are many more residents and visitors to the City who encourage rodents by leaving food and trash for the wildlife.
After taking and posting images online, after notifying the City and Harvard management about this problem, someone threatened to put me in a hospital. He did not explain if he meant to harm me physically requiring hospitalization, or to use psychiatry. Is he a friend of rodents?

Outdoor Trash Attracts Rodents at Harvard

These photos show the dumpster behind 85 Prescott Street a Harvard building. The dumpster replaced the plastic barrels. New tenants are unable to figure out how to get their trash into the dumpster and leave it out for the rodents.

JAN 9 2006 Roy Bercaw Speaks to Cambridge City Council

Bercaw asks about the $2051 grant to the Peace Commission for respect and dialog. "Will it include persons with disabilities (PWD)," he asks. Police, prosecutors make negative statements about persons with disabilities, the media repeat it and creates a negative image of persons with disabilities. Bercaw asks about a $35,700 grant for an attorney for the Fair Housing Act. He suggests that the attorney and the HUD Office of Fair Housing should be familiar with the laws on discrimination toward persons with disabilities. In order to help finance the new dance floor at the Mount Auburn VFW Bercaw suggests that youth and senior centers be empowered to collect rodents to be sold for medical research. Finally in view of the Right Wing Conspiracy verified by Senator Clinton, the City Council should ensure that the rodent infestation is not a conspiracy of the Bush administration to diminish the quality of life in Cambridge.

October 22, 2007 Roy Bercaw Speaks to Cambridge City Council

Speaking as "The Assistant Ombudsman of the Mid Cambridge Media Criticism League to Give The Journalism Committee of the Cambridge City Council Extraordinary Powers Over the Press. Repeal the First Amendment," Roy Bercaw decries the Affirmative Action Report of Fowler Finn, Superintendent of Schools for excluding persons with disabilities. Bercaw suggests a review board for the Police Review Board which has become a part of the Police department. He notes that Cambridge is a World Class City where visitors leave food for the rodents so that the city does not need to use any bait. He also suggests a No Fly Zone over Cambridge to ensure no noise from planes disrupting the quiet enjoyment of residents.
