SEP 25 2006 Roy Bercaw Speaks to Cambridge City Council

Speaking as a heterosexual American, Roy Bercaw asks why teaching students how to read is a problem? He wonders why the Council is acting contrary to the recommendation of a Harvard researcher by excluding community leaders and including academics to study the causes of gun violence. He notes that an organization americanvalues.org focuses on the importance of marriage in addressing crime among teenagers. The council supports a bill at the state house which forgives Biotech companies their owed back taxes. At the same time the council laments high property taxes. These are nonsensical policies.

Squatter Robin at Harvard Cambridge MA USA

In early May 2008 I saw this proud brave robin strutting on the stoop of a Harvard owned apartment building. I noticed him building a nest in the tree just outside an adjacent building -- a Harvard building without permission. This robin is not a Harvard affiliate. One day I saw him chasing a squirrel. Each time I tried to capture him on video tape he flew away. He seemed to fear the camera. One morning I sneaked up on him and got this footage. According to one book I read, robin couples (politically incorrect one man one woman) stay together as a pair and share the work of feeding of their young until the babies are able to leave the nest. This robin built his nest at eye level not a very safe nest. But he is on Harvard property. Harvard's real estate division spent many years trading property to get permission from the City of Cambridge to cleanse their buildings of non Harvard affiliates. Now this robin just moves in. Will the University with a $35 billion endowment permit this squatter to stay?
This robin spends his spring-time creating a luxurious nest in a Harvard University-owned tree.

APR 9 2007 Roy Bercaw Speaks to Cambridge MA City Council

Speaking as the Chairman of the Awards Committee of the Federation of Biotech Cheerleaders, Bercaw presents a Lifetime Achievement Award to the City Council. On the issue of dog medallions to use city park land, he notes the consistently inconsistent policies of the City. The Council supports same sex marriage for out-of-state couples who are banned from marrying in their home states to marry in MA. But they want to prohibit dogs who do not live in the city from using public parks? He says not to worry, because Cambridge enforces laws arbitrarily and capriciously anyway. Discussing the "Urban Ringy Thingy, Councilor Simmons conducts a private conversation loudly enough for Bercaw to be distracted. It is a violation of the Council Rules which are also enforced arbitrarily. Bercaw suggests using psychiatric drugs for traffic calming. In order to increase parking and traffic flow Bercaw suggests banning pedestrians and eliminating sidewalks in the city.He urges keeping civilians from knowing the city laws in order to avoid any concern about the government violating so many laws. He asks if the Council supports fences in the city will it also support the fences along the border with Mexico? He wants to have two drinkers of adult beverages on a liquor license committee.

Bill O'Reilly reports (APR 3 2007) on the JFK Assassination Committee

JAN 23 2006 Roy Bercaw Speaks to Cambridge City Council

Bercaw raises the question of what City housing policy is in view of the Council's declaration of a housing emergency in the city. He cites the unlawful sale of the Main Street Fire House. He quotes Kinky Friedman, Candidate for Governor of Texas, who says, "Politics is the only business where the more experience you have the worse you get." He asks about the way that the City Manager ignores City Council policy regarding the Police Review Board, which after 20 years is still not functioning. Bercaw says we have enough professional politicians who are focused on getting re-elected rather than serving the public. He says if they are unable to do their job they should resign.

JAN 9 2006 Roy Bercaw Speaks to Cambridge City Council

Bercaw asks about the $2051 grant to the Peace Commission for respect and dialog. "Will it include persons with disabilities (PWD)," he asks. Police, prosecutors make negative statements about persons with disabilities, the media repeat it and creates a negative image of persons with disabilities. Bercaw asks about a $35,700 grant for an attorney for the Fair Housing Act. He suggests that the attorney and the HUD Office of Fair Housing should be familiar with the laws on discrimination toward persons with disabilities. In order to help finance the new dance floor at the Mount Auburn VFW Bercaw suggests that youth and senior centers be empowered to collect rodents to be sold for medical research. Finally in view of the Right Wing Conspiracy verified by Senator Clinton, the City Council should ensure that the rodent infestation is not a conspiracy of the Bush administration to diminish the quality of life in Cambridge.

Sen. Barack Obama Disrespects US Flag Law

At a campaign rally in Iowa on September 16, 2007, Democratic Presidential candidate Barack Obama disrespects the US flag during the playing of the National Anthem. He violates US law and his oath of office. Obama is a graduate of Harvard Law School. It is not clear if that law school teaches disrespect for US law or if Obama does not believe in the rule of law. It does raise questions about his beliefs and values contrary to his speeches.

OCT 31 2005 Roy Bercaw Speaks to Cambridge MA City Council

Bercaw suggests that instead of killing the rodents that annoy human residents of Cambridge the City's Laboratory Commissioner should collect the rodents and use them for medical research. It will generate income for the city he says. He decries the report from the City Manager regarding the City's compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act. He says it is nonsense, misleading, false, deficient and obstructs the goals of the council order. He says the City manager prefers to be sued providing funds for plush offices for downtown law firms, and an opulent lifestyles of corporate lawyers. He compares the report to the CIA reports to the Bush administration on WMD and the trip to Niger of Joe Wilson.

Nick Jr. gets US taxpayer grants to publish and to educate the public about new technology. Part 1 of 3 is about external influencing the brain electronically. Begich says that the US government has a history of using human subjects for experiments without consent. But he says that many people who claim they are such subjects of this electronic experimentation, are suffering from other difficulties, e.g., psychiatric problems. It seems as if Begich is revealing the technology and at the same time providing cover for abuses of human subjects.
Part 2 of 3. In this section Begich reports an experiment on students diagnosed with ADD and ADHD who were subjected to electronic conditioning using a "helmet." He says they were able to return to regular education classes and that it cost the school district less money than if they needed the special ed classes. He approves of using electronics for brain control and treatment. He also tells of treatment in Finland which was challenged by the traditional physicians in court.
Part 3 of 3. In this section Begich suggests that it is now possible to "download" information to the human brain. That this will be an issue for public education in this country. Who will decide what gets put into children's brains? Parents or the government?

Non Lethal (?) Electrical Weapons May 5 2008

Here are some prototypes of electrical anti personnel weapons developed for military use. They are being deployed to local law enforcement, with the usual abuses by police, organized crime families, psychologists and human researchers. Government critics, whistle blowers, unpopular citizens, and vulnerable persons are targeted by criminal use. In Cambridge, MA police are not trained to enforce a 1986 state law prohibiting possession of these weapons.
Graduate psychology and psychiatric students at prominent universities are trained to use these weapons on vulnerable persons. Cities and towns employ them to censor critics and to cover up malfeasance and corruption.

Unwilling to Believe Government Evil

People are reluctant to believe that governments are evil. In this brief clip from the PBS documentary "Escape from Auschwitz," two courageous men escaped from the concentration camp. When they arrived at Budapest, Hungary Jewish leaders did not believe that the Germans were killing Jews thousands at a time.

What is a person?

Lesley Stahl interviewed US Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia on April 27, 2008 on 60 Minutes. Discussing abortion law, he gave his interpretation of what a "person" is according to the Constitution. He said, "I think when the Constitution says that persons are entitled to equal protection of the laws, I think it clearly means walking around persons."
My question is, "Does this interpretation apply to corporations as well?
