No One Is Watching
This sign is on the corner of a building near a driveway on Mass Avenue near Arlington Street. No one was watching for cars. Is that why there were none?

Enthusiasm At Harvard University's Arts First Festival
The enthusiasm at Harvard University's Arts First Festival led some driver to mow down some city street signs and a parking meter. The driver may have been unable to pay the require fees so like Cool Hand Luke he knocked off the meter at Quincy Street and Harvard Street. On Saturday April 27, 2013 the day before these images were captured and posted, film star Matt Damon walked along Quincy Street after receiving a university award. I saw some paparazzi chasing the Damon. Was it one of them? The next day City employees removed the broken signs and meter, and replaced the pole for a new sign.

Is this the work of Cool Hand Luke?

New Entrance to Hell in Cambridge MA
Looking toward Quincy Street at Broadway.
Concrete sleeve for the new entrance.
Opening a new entrance on Broadway near Harvard University's Fogg Museum.
Can't go directly to hell.
Should be "Street Closed"
Should be Right On "Quincy"
We make the signs for Cambridge MA.

Conflicting Signs, Like The Double Bind
In the middle of Harvard University buildings in Cambridge MA we find typically conflicting signs. It is an example of the Double Bind, a procedure used by psychologists and psychiatrists to drive an individual insane.
These signs are on the same metal pole, at the corner of Prescott Street and Broadway. On one side are Harvard University affiliate housing. On the other is the construction-renovation of the Fogg Museum.
